IHTUS LTD: Providing Employment, Social Projects & Scholarship Opportunities

Ihtus Ltd. is a for-profit company founded by the

Evangelical Church of Sarajevo to spread the

Kingdom through providing employment, funding

scholarship opportunities and other service

projects for the people in need in our community.

Meet Jaca, Ihtus Employee

Jaca has been working for the past 4 years in our second hand shop in the Sarajevo neighborhood called Dobrinja. We were able to employ Jaca in an important transition time in her life. After serving alongside her husband in the Evangelical church in a small city in northwest Bosnia for 10 years, she returned to Sarajevo and was looking for work. We were thrilled to be able to offer her employment at Ihtus.

We consider Ihtus to be an ideal, temporary place of work that can serve as a jumping off point for our employees. So it is bittersweet for us that Jaca will be leaving Ihtus in April to open up her own coffee shop. We are sad to see her go, but are excited for this new endeavor ahead for her. Please keep Jaca and her new coffee shop in your prayers!

Meet Ljupka, Scholarship Recipient

Ljupka is the daughter of a new believer, Ljilja. Ljilja is a single mom that works hard to take care of her only daughter. She is a part-time caregiver for the elderly and also clean offices. With her financial means, it is a luxury to provide more than the essentials for her 10 year old daughter.

Ljupka has taken an interest in table tennis and has proven to truly have talent. She came in 3rd place at a recent tournament for her age group.

We at Ihtus are proud to provide a scholarship for

Ljupka and for her table tennis lessons.

Throughout Ihtus' 15 years of existence, we have been able to sponsor countless amount of people desiring to invest in their future. Whether they have been students at university, kids wanting to play the guitar or recovered addicts seeking to improve their English language, we are so proud that our church through Ihtus has been able to support and encourage the ambitions of the people in our community.

In a country full of despair, Ihtus has been able to bring the hope of Christ to Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Please Pray for Ihtus:

- Praise God for all the people we have been able to help, employ and sponsor throughout the past 15 years

- Pray for IHTUS' current financial situation as business is not going so well and we need wisdom on how to go forward

- Pray for God to send us a new partner/supplier who would be willing to send us quality merchandise on a regular basis

- Pray that the Lord continues to use IHTUS to be salt and light among the customers and communities we are serving
